Episode 21 is the twenty-first chapter of Hooky by Míriam Bonastre Tur.

Summary[]

Dorian tries desperately to make it through the crowd of villagers to defend his sister, but with no avail. He can't do anything but watch as the villagers start to burn Dani on the stake while she screams for help. However, someone suddenly throws water at the straw surrounding the stake, definitely extinguishing the fire. The lumberjack turns around until he notice Monica standing beside the stake with a empty bucket. She scolds him for his actions as witch hunting is long since forbidden, but it only angers him. He grabs Monica by her wrist with the intention to burn her as well, but Mark step in her defense and punches the man. People start to to realise Monica is the princess and begin to flee from the square. Monica takes advantage of the chaos to help Dani.

Nico observes relieved from the van as Dani is freed by her friends. He questions Pendragon why he doesn't go help them, but the man answers he did enough by driving them there and that he wasn't even sure if he did the right thing. Pendragon also suggests him to not get too much attached to them. Nico, however ignores his warnings and run towards the rest of the group. As Monica helps Dani down of the stake, she starts to cry. Monica and Mark try to console her, but she evades both of them and runs to the only other person she can really trust, her twin brother Dorian.
